Here is a TvZ Expand build. This is used in Daybreak for optimal damage.

Modify it as you wish! This is only a blueprint for expanding safely after scouting a no cheese no rush situation. It is recommended that you go up to 3 banshees for defense purposes if you don't sense any fast mutas coming soon.

BUILDS(Openers, Transitions, and more!) Empty From my Friend At Columbia

Post  ProfscLXG Mon May 14, 2012 11:43 am

Hey guys, my friend on Columbia's CSL team is transitioning to Terran and he told me about what he's been using. Basically it's a 1 rax FE into a 5 rax pressure with a fast third and tech. I've been field testing and was able to take down a master after transitioning to standard play.

    Here are the games:

    Another one: http://www.sctemple.com/replay/247525/#Chat

    I hope these help!

    Hello everyone!

So I've been in between builds with TvT lately, not really liking any build since iechoic or Thorzain's 1 rax FE marine build... So, naturally, I've been doing some innovating and I came to the following conclusions:

    1. Terran mech is strong until your opponent gets battlecruisers.
    2. Sky Terran is strong against everything but takes forever to get to.

By synthesizing the strengths of the two—mech is very resilient, offers safe expansions and sky terran almost guarantees late-game dominance, I've developed the following:

Game 1 on Cloud Kingdom: This is me trying to figure out what to do and my opponent goes for mass thors vs. mass thors. I win because of upgrades.

    Replay: http://www.sctemple.com/replay/251052/

Game 2 on Tal Darim: This is my build holding an all-in, albeit not the best executed all-in.

    Replay: http://www.sctemple.com/replay/251051/

Game 3: This is the finished product. As soon as I scouted early CC, I went into long-term macro mode, pumping out expansions and creating a Thor/Hellion army. Eventually, I transition into BCs, which was fortunate because he went thor to counter my thors. By using standard hellion harass per mech, I was able to secure a lead in expansions and build up to a critical mass of mech and air units, which I used to crush his army and expansions. Note: It takes a lot of gas to build thors and BCs.

Edit: Tried to link to Liquipedia images of Thor and BC, my bad.
