Introducing LXG's Newest Members!

To all of our loyal fans:

Everyone involved first hand with LXG is very thankful to ALL of our fans. Without each and every one of you, we would and could not exist. 2011 was a great year for eSports and LXG, we got our opens running on a regular schedule as well as recruited more members.

2012 is going to be bigger and better than last year and to start things off right, LXG is officially adding two very talented community members to the team. Both of these members have not only helped out a lot with LXG events but have been working non stop to bring their games to the highest level.

LXG is proud to name our newest members to the team:

Idunno, Kaboodle, ProfSC, System, muugi(Icarus), Dek

Not only are these players top level, but they have also been strong contributors in the SC2/LXG community for quite some time. When decision time came to who would be LXG's next recruited members... it was an easy choice.

How long have you been playing Starcraft II?

For as long as I've had my new computer, so I'd say about a good year or so now.

Why did you decided to join LXG over another clan?

"If you can't accept me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best."

Starcraft for me is purely a hobby, no ta profession. That doesn't mean I take it seriously, and the fact only some clans say "hey we're adding on masters players!" without knowing them irks me somewhat.

I joined LXG's tournaments when they first advertised it on terran/zerg/protoss strat and kept coming back every since.

On weeks where not much is going on for me, LXG tournaments is what I looked forward to in my week. Great casting, great people and great games.

I felt yeah Koreans have the GSL, professionals in Europe and North America they have great events like Dreamhack, IPL and LXG. Us? Well for me, we had LXG. A place where not the best players meet, but a place where players like me who enjoyed a game so much met.

Is there anything you'd like to say to LXG and the LXG community.

For as much jokes as I make I'm really glad to be here. People like Pfresh, Doc, Nan, etc. I admire to a tremendous degree. I know they don't need to put any effort to do what they do, nor do they need to expand but do so anyways because they genuinely want to share and experience how they feel about Starcraft with others.

I personally think it's great. To Doc, thank you so much for all you've done for me. (Not that I would know what you've done for me behind the scenes *cough*) You're honestly one of my best friends in this game irrespective of anything else. If you ever came to Pittsburgh I would wine and dine you like you were the hottest woman on the planet, HAWT.

And I nonetheless must assert that I did not receive this invite from the fake nanman, or the faux nanman, not even the semi-real I don't know if this is the real nanman, NO....

Greetings! It is an honor to be a member of Team LXG. I absolutely love the community and everything that the team does to support SC2 players. I honestly feel that Team LXG plays a crucial role for so many members in that community spaces on Battle.net 2.0 are so hard to find.

With that said,

My name is ProfSc, ProfScLXG.135, and I play Terran with Protoss as a distant secondary.

I have been playing SC2 since 2010, but only re-started playing regularly recently, there being a lull for quite a while. There was sort of a confluence of events that occurred, one of which was participating in an LXG Open Plat-Diamond (I can't remember the number but DocfletchLXG was casting, and I did a BC rush in my last game). Playing in the tournament and watching the VODs afterwards really re-ignited my passion to play.

I feel a stronger connection to Team LXG than I do to any other SC2 teams or clans, particularly because of what I said above. Additionally, it is because of the community surrounding the team that I had a successful final day of class for my seminar on SC2—in total I think we had 10-12 people participating as observers and players. That wouldn't have been possible without the community that surrounds Team LXG.

I believe that Team LXG's model in the evolution of team-centric play should be more common. If there were more teams like LXG that held casted tournaments, community days, offered coaching, etc., more people would play SC2 and by extension, more people would participate in eSports.

I only hope to continue those efforts as a new member of Team LXG. Thank you for the opportunity.

I have been playing Starcraft II since season 1 but didn't get competitive until season 4 when I joined Team NeS which was my clan until around january of 2012 when our clan leader broke us up. I chose Clan LxG over many other clans because of how well run and amazing these guys are and that Team NeS and Clan LxG had a friendly rivalry so we kind of knew eachother.

Hewwo all, I am Kaboodleschmitt, one of the new recruits to LXG! I'm KaboodleLXG.133 on battle.net, and I'm a top diamond zerg player. I enjoy hamburgers, but I also like pizza. I'm 5'10" or so, married, and I'm proudly Canadian, living in Ottawa, Ontario. I've been a gamer pretty well my whole life, starting with Commander Keen, Red Alert, etc, and gaming right up to Starcraft II.

I have been playing SC2 since September 2011 or so - I played on my cousin's (bronze) account and got it up to diamond playing random. Then I got my own account, got it up to diamond as well, and then... The summer hit, when I had no computer. I got demoted to platinum after I started playing again, then got back into diamond in December 2011, at which point I switched to playing zerg full-time, having found that the play-style was most suited to me and most enjoyable overall. So I have been playing SC2 for over a year, but of course I had been /wanting/ to play SC2 for much longer than that, hehe.

My best match-up is ZvT; my worst match-up is ZvP... I like my ling/infestor/ultra composition Feel free to hit me up to play some games as I'm usually up for it.

I decided to join LXG because of two things: first, it is an awesome clan which I've come to be involved with over the past few months through the LXG Opens and other such activities, and second, it has a cool name

I'm a rational person, and obviously I can tell from your website that he probably doesn't reflect the attitude of the rest of your group, but not everyone thinks this way. Congrats to everyone who got in! Idunno was definitely out of line, but I cant talk, I rage on occasion too, and tbh, we dont know the full story so who knows. You could have provoked him to the point of his rage and then only showed the half that makes him look bad. Would not be the first time I have seen that. Either way, hope this does get sorted out, I cant see idunno as a rager though. Just my $.02 though.

Wow you came here chasing me with this information after one base all inning me? Get a life, get a clue. My passion for LXG has nothing to do with the fact you're a poison to the ladder and a terrible player in general who takes advantage of quirky builds and bad plays. Me and LXG go way back, you and me played only one game. To have the audacity to come in here and say they need to "put me in line" is beyond insulting and I will make sure you are banned from this forum.

And the next time you contact me in any way shape or form in SC2 I guarantee I will be sure to get you suspended for harassment.

I find it a bit ironic that you'd report me for harassing you when after you lost to me (3-base pressure, by the way), you proceeded to insult me with homophobic childish slurs for nearly TWO HOURS without so much as a response from myself, since you've blocked yourself from receiving messages from strangers.

When I did manage to message you by adding your real-ID, I was polite, and simply informed you of your erroneous statements, and even wished you luck in the next season. To this, you responded as you do -- with homophobic, childish slurs (see screenshot).

The only point I was trying to make was that you are representing a group of people when you put your clan name in your ID. I was giving feedback on how I felt your group was represented.

I didn't call you absent minded, and that wasn't meant as an insult. People get reclassified all the time. I did this season. It's clear by your match history that you will be placed into diamond next season. I wished you good luck, so that you will be able to get promoted back into masters.

Like I said, you lost a regular macro game. I had 3 base economy, and a fourth nexus completed when you lost. The entire point of my messaging you was to inform you of this, to perhaps encourage you to scout. All you had to do was take the Xel'Naga Tower once to deny my gold expansion.

There was no zoom in my screenshot; simply a quick and dirty crop. Usually when I post images on message boards I try not to break the tables. What vent are you talking about? What's the difference between psychosis and insanity? It took all of 30 seconds to find this place. If you didn't put your clan tag in your ID, I never would have found it. Like I said, your poor manners and etiquette, combined with your clan tag brought me here.

I'll reiterate: It took minimal effort to come here and post. I find people like yourself, who make it a mission to be obnoxious and abrasive on ladder, a cancer to the community, and one of the reasons many people stop laddering.
